How to Get a Marriage License in Collier County
Walk into the clerk's office in Naples with your partner. Both of you fill out the application on site. The clerk will check your IDs and take the fee. If you were married before, bring the exact date your prior marriage ended. You need to know if it ended by divorce, death, or annulment. The clerk asks about this on the form.
Florida residents face a three-day wait after the clerk issues the license. The license is not active until three days pass. But couples who take a premarital course can skip this wait. Bring the original certificate of completion. Under Florida Statute 741.04, both people must be at least 18. A 17-year-old can apply only with notarized consent from both parents.
You can use the MyFloridaCounty portal to search official records in Collier County once your marriage license has been filed and recorded.
Note: The marriage license must be recorded in Collier County even if the ceremony takes place in a different Florida county.
